Catch The Fire Church in Sherbrooke, Quebec

Catch The Fire Church in Sherbrooke launched online at the end of 2020 and then moved to in-person meetings when churches were permitted to reopen again. They are seeing God’s miraculous transforming and healing power at work!

1. We are seeing people coming back to Jesus. Carlos, a friend of Daniel’s from primary school, started to come to church. He didn't know Jesus and gave his life to Jesus last month! This is after years of praying coming to fruition.

2. Samuel, my nephew, being a miracle baby born at 26 weeks old is now out of danger after prayer and intercession.

3. We saw healings and the Holy Spirit touched many at our last conference. People healed of years of pain in their bodies. 5 years of pain in a shoulder, gone in an instant.

Embrace Durham

Embrace Durham is the outreach arm of Catch The Fire Church in Raleigh. Justin and Kelly Rife lead Embrace Durham, a ministry that reaches out to the homeless and disadvantaged people in their city. As they’ve begun to reach out in simple love, they’ve seen God partner with their efforts, and seen life-changing encounters and transformation in the people they meet on the streets of Durham.

MacDougald Terrace: Our friend, Mallory, who used to take the groceries and shut the door in our faces and not talk to us got healed when we prayed for her one day. Because of this she began to trust us as friends and Holy Spirit opened up her heart to the gospel. She is now following Jesus and one of our team members is discipling her. She is learning how to pray for her community (the most violent neighborhood in our city).

Every week our team leader goes to her house and they pray together for the neighborhood. Now, Mallory is inviting the women in who don’t know Jesus and teaching them what she’s learned and how to pray. This week one of them took some pills and overdosed and Mallory was the first one there to help her and prayed over this woman and she lived.

Catch The Fire Church in Kansas City

John & Patricia Bootsma have relocated their base from Raleigh to Kansas City at the end of August 2021 and they are planting a new Catch The Fire church in Kansas City! They are still continuing their roles with Catch The Fire World.

This move is strategic for several reasons:

1. It enables them to be more centrally based as they seek to expand the footprint of Catch The Fire USA in relatively unknown regions.

2. It enables them to embrace the call of Catch the Fire to plant churches by giving them an opportunity to plant a campus of Catch the Fire Church in Raleigh in a brand new US city

3. It allows them also to live in the same city as 3 of their daughters & 2 of their grandchildren.

They anticipate starting a home group toward the end of October & trust our heavenly Father will breathe on this in a wonderful way. Let’s pray and encourage them as they begin this new journey of faith!
