Roy Young was formally the Pastor of Garston Community Church in Hertfordshire, UK and the Founder of Hope4India. He went to be with the Lord earlier this year after a very short illness.

Roy had a passion for the nation of India, and in particular the Telugu states in the Andhra Pradesh region, which he visited on a very regular basis. Hope4India is an organization which works with the very poorest and most marginalized people, mentoring and supporting pastors and churches in particular among the rural and tribal people, and in leprosy and Aids colonies. Hope4India also carries a vision to see 10,000 churches planted in India in 10 years, and has a strategy in place to see this vision materialize.

A few years ago, Roy invited me to join him on a trip to India, and since then I have visited at least twice a year (pre-Covid!) to speak at Pastors conferences and at evangelistic rallies and was privileged to see many healings, miracles and large numbers of salvations. Shortly before he died, Roy asked that I take on oversight of Hope4India. I am now exploring how this ministry can work in partnership with Catch The Fire.
